Cheesy Chicken and Noodle Casserole
This Cheesy Chicken and Noodle Casserole is a traditional casserole that will win you over with its creamy sauce and cheesy top. For some extra flavor, layer fresh mushrooms or broccoli into the casserole.

Ingredients
- 1/2 pound noodles
- 1 cup grated Swiss cheese
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 3 cups cooked chicken
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 6 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups chicken broth (bouillon)
- 1 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package directions and drain.
- Season with pepper, Parmesan cheese and 1/2 cup Swiss cheese.
- While the noodles are cooking, dice the chicken into 1/2 inch pieces and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Place noodles in greased 3 quart casserole and top with chicken.
- Melt butter, add flour and cook 2 minutes.
- Add broth and cream and cook until thick and smooth.
- Pour this sauce over the noodles and chicken and sprinkle with remaining Swiss cheese.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
