Apple Butter

Makes 7&1/2 cups.

Ingredients
- 12 sliced and cored tart apples
- 2 cups apple cider
- 1 1/2 cup apple juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice or cloves
Instructions
1. Cook apple and cider in slow cooker or slow cooker for 12 hours over low heat. Drain off excess juice. Puree in food processor until smooth. (puree in batches).Add apple juice and spices. Return mixture to slow cooker and cook covered on low for 2 hours.
3. Pour into hot jars and process in boiling bath for 20 minutes.
