I'm looking for chicken noodle soup recipes. I like this one in the slow cooker as you can prepare it and leave it to cook whilst you go to work or while you're doing chores on the weekend. It is definitely a time saver. It's a pity there is no picture as I would like to see what it looks like to compare it to the other recipes but it sounds tasty and I may try it.

If you really want to make this your own, try adding (cream cheese with chives spread) in the small container. I use 1/2 of the container, softened in the microwave for maybe 30 seconds, mix in a little of the hot broth and mix it together, then add it to your soup. The little pieces will eventually melt. Try it with any soup. I put it in my vegie soup with smoked turkey sausage and it is fabulous.

sounds like a good recipe, however only two carrots, and two stalks of celery ? not much vegetables in it, so it is mostly soup and chicken.... i think it needs a cup or more of cut up carrots and the same with the celery.... then there is no need to put a extra vegetable on the table... just crackers or croutons . yum

This is good. I used half of the water and the other half homemade chicken stock I had in the freezer. I use store-bought noodles, too, as most of us can't make our own. This hit the spot on a cold night. Thanks!

I think soup from scratch should also include homemade noodles and the recipe to make them. Fortunately I have my own. Why ruin something home made with nasty dried noodles?
