With or without the stick in the center of this extra gooey caramel apple cupcakes, this would be a hit during the fall months. Caramel apples are a favorite at school fall festival activities and this would be another treat that can be served.

It is fair time around here and my husband and I always go at least once just to walk thru the midway and enjoy all the smells and sights. It never fails that we return home with a bag of cotton candy and a couple of candy apples, one traditional and one caramel. This recipe reminded me of that. I think I will make these.

These are really cute and delicious. Caramel apples aren't just a fall treat, since all of the summertime fairs I've been to have at least one stand offering among other things, caramel apples.
