Of course Mom has the best macaroni salad, and of course it's full of vegetables chunks of ham and cheese. I added in all the optional mix ins, except the dill pickles (just a person preference) and the result was a beautiful bowl of tender, creamy macaroni salad worthy of Mom's stamp of approval.

Im in charge of bringing the salads for Christmas dinner (Aussie style) and this looks interesting. I love to find recipes with a list of ingredients that Im likely to have on hand already to theres no rushed trips to the supermarket. It even has a list of optional ingredients to keep things interesting.
