Apricot Dumplings (Marillenknoedel)
"Apricot Dumplings are a sweet dessert specialty from Austria, which is better known as Marillenknoedel locally. A choux dough is wrapped around fresh apricots before being cooked and then covered in breadcrumbs and sugar. This dessert is sure to impress anyone and makes a very addictive sweet treat any time of the year. However, the apricot season is coming up so you might want to enjoy your apricots as dumplings this year. Similar desserts exist, where the apricot is exchanged with a prune or a strawberry. I like to serve my apricot dumplings with whipped cream or some ice cream. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy this fruity dessert."
