The chocolate batter is a homemade chocolate cupcake batter. The peanut butter batter that’s layered with the chocolate batter is made with cream cheese. Yes, cream cheese. A peanut butter cream cheese layer nestled in chocolate cake. Just because we’re making two batters does not mean this is in any way a complicated or difficult recipe to make. The two batters come together quickly. And yes we’re going to layer the batters in cupcake liners but again, no big deal. This is an absolutely wonderful cupcake recipe.
