"This is one of our winter favourites and also the reason for my commitment to make apricot jam every single summer because we make The Sacher's with this kind of jam by default. To have Sacher cake or brownies combined with apricot jam is definitely the best combination for my son and me and if you have one at hand, the result shall be amazing ! Of course, it can be made with any other kind of sharp, sour jam, like cherry or raspberry as well. If you decide to make a portion of these for weekend or holidays, try to find a jam of that type. It gives very special flavour to the dessert when done. Sacher Chocolate Cake is very special and the most famous Viennese culinary specialty. I have modified the shape only. This one, again, is my grayndmother's heritage."
