Rice Krispies Nests with Cadbury Mini Eggs are a great way to make some fun springtime treats that will make kids and adults smile. This easy Rice Krispies dessert is made with mini chocolate Cadbury eggs to form a nest-like treat that will delight at an Easter dessert table. Kids will have fun making these treats almost as much as they enjoy eating them afterwards. Plus, this is a fun activity to do as family leading up to the day the when Peter Rabbit comes to town.

Ingredients

1 (10.5oz) bag of mini marshmallows
1/4 cup butter
5 cups Rice Krispies
1 cup coconut
3 drops green food coloring
Cadbury Mini Eggs

Instructions

In saucepan heat marshmallows and butter until melted. Add rice krispies and stir.
Remove from heat and place 1/3 cup in sprayed cupcake tin to form little nests.
In small bowl color coconut with green food coloring (For a lighter, more pastel look, use less food coloring, or add more to make the grass as green as you'd like). Place the coconut in the nests and 3 mini eggs on top.
Allow to cool in pan for an hour. Remove and serve.

What a clever idea and who doesn't love Rice Krispy treats right? With the holidays coming upon us this recipe is perfect for each occasion and with a little help of food coloring, the possibilities are virtually endless. Halloween is almost here...it would be really cute to shape your treat like a pumpkin and maybe incorporate some candy corn or Reese's pieces.

These would be a great activity for the preschoolers in my home daycare. The children can make a few, so some extras cam go home with them in a cellophane treat bag. Otherwise, their parents won't know the fun they had that day!
