This is really easy to put together. I really don't know what regular not family sized jar of salsa means. I can my own salsa in pints and I just added enough salsa to what I thought looked good. I think between 16 and 24 oz. of salsa is a good amount to use. I like cheddar so that is always my go to. A cheddar jack blend would be great too.
