Who needs ice cream when you can have a slab of these delicious ice cream cake? I love this idea. I think this is going to end up being a fun favorite because it is so quick to mix up and put in the freezer. We love our candy bars cold, so ice cream cake in the freezer is a given for our family. We will enjoy this recipe a lot.

Such a wonderfully simple idea! This is a great summertime dessert to whip up at a moments notice. I'd like to try this with either the chocolate ice cream sandwiches or (if I can find them), the neopolitan ice cream sandwiches. This would be a super fast and very tasty dessert to keep in mind for a potluck or picnic. Thanks for sharing this nifty method for a fast treat.

Well after I picked my jaw up off the floor and wiped up the drool, I read the recipe. What an easy dessert to make! It looks like it is a lot of work, but it isnt. It would be great to take along to a summer party. There are several flavours of ice cream sandwiches, so you can change it up now and then too.

This looks really good. It looks like there's a ton of caramel topping on the cake, which is a perfect finishing touch in my opinion!

Seems someone is always trying to read something wrong into these recipes. mlrobin1935, just make the cake and try to make it without an "icebox" or without ice cream and let us know how that works for you!!!! This is a great recipe. I have made it several times for church suppers and always got great reviews.

Why does this recipe have two different names? I clicked on the email looking for the 10-Minute Layered Icebox Cake..found it clicked on the title line and get a recipe for 10-Minute Layered Ice Cream Cake.
