    A Pound of Ground Beef with Beans

    Make dinner easy tonight with Ground Beef with Beans. Cooked beef, beans and chopped vegetables are a fast and cost-effective meal.

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound ground beef
    • 1 cup chopped onion
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 1 cup carrot, diced
    • 1 cup celery, chopped
    • 1/4 cup minute rice
    • 2 cans stewed tomatoes, 16 oz each
    • 5 beef bouillon cubes
    • 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
    • 1/4 teaspoon basil
    • 1 can kidney beans
    • salt and pepper to taste

    Instructions

    1. Cook ground beef, onion and garlic until meat is brown; drain excess fat.

    2. Add 3 1/2 cups water. Add remaining ingredients, except beans.

    3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, about 45 minutes. Add beans, simmer ten more minutes.
