Old German Cream Pie

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons (heaping) flour
- 2 cups whipping cream
- 2 stiffly beaten egg whites
Instructions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Mix sugar and flour together; add cream and blend well. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
- Pour in unbaked pie shell. Bake in oven for about 40 minutes until golden brown and sets like custard.

I'm confused for some reason....it says "whipped cream", but adding sugar and flour to already whipped cream (then baking it?) doesn't sound right to me. Is it supposed to read "whipping cream"? I've never seen a recipe such as this, and would love to try it for my family.

Years ago in Jamaica, I had somethinig called Cinnamon Pie made by French-trained chef. Been trying to find the recipe ever since. Would it be possible to add cinnamon to this recipe?
