Beefy Salsa Mac
Spice up your typical macaroni and cheese recipe and add some beef and a splash of salsa for a zesty treat. Quick and easy, this wonderful weeknight recipe is perfect when you are in a rush, but still looking to please your appetite. Cheesy and Meaty, who can resist?
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 (16-ounces) jar of Ortega salsa - homestyle recipe (mild)
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 1 (14.5-ounces) package of macaroni and cheese dinner
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
Instructions
- Cook beef over medium-high heat in a large, deep skillet until no longer pink; drain. Stir in salsa, water, macaroni noodles, dry cheese sauce mix and mayonnaise; stir to mix well.
- Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat to low. Cover; cook, stirring occasionally, for 7 minutes or until macaroni is tender.
- Remove from heat; keep covered. Allow to stand for 5 minutes. Serve immediately.
