Ingredients
- 1 pound pasta
- 1 teaspoon dry basil
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
- 2 ounces blue cheese
- salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta in a gallon of salted boiling water for 12 minutes or as mentioned on the package.
- In frying pan on medium-high heat melt butter, then add 1 chopped garlic clove, ginger and let it cook for 1 minute.
- Add basil and crumble the bouillon cube on top. Mix it with well with butter.
- Add the flour and mix it well with butter. Cook it for 30 seconds and then lower the heat. Add milk, the rest of garlic,thyme leaves and season with salt and pepper. Let it thicken and add blue cheese.
- At this point if the sauce is too thick add boiling water from the pasta to thin it down.
- Mix the sauce with pasta and serve!
