Smokey Country Style Ribs
Ingredients
- 3 lbs. country style pork ribs sliced in sections of 2
- 4 teaspoons fresh crushed garlic
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup BBQ sauce of your choice
- 3 Tbsp. molasses
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup chilli sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. liquid smoke ( Hickory Smoked )
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325F. Sprinkle ribs with garlic salt and pepper. Combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Keep warm. Place ribs, rib bones down, on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. Baste with sauce. Bake 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 hours, turning and basting with sauce every 30 minutes. Cut into serving-size portions. Bring remaining sauce to a boil and serve with ribs. Also what I like to do is make these in the morning then I cover with Alum foil or a lid and lover the heat down to 140- 180 degrees and cook on low all day until they are ready to serve at dinner. This will cause the meat to fall off the bone. Serve with Wedgies potatoes fried in Peanut oil and dip them in Fresh sour cream. And a side order of Corn on the cob.
