Cornbread Dressing
"This Cornbread Dressing recipe is an old Southern classic made with store-bought cornbread, herbs, veggies, and a whole lot of butter. It's a mix of sweet and savory, making it the perfect side dish for your next holiday gathering. With a quick 20 minutes of prep time, you can make this easy cornbread dressing for Thanksgiving but also for any night of the year. My mother-in-law always made her version with leftover cornbread, but I've found that using a slightly sweet store-bought cornbread saves time and brings a little sweetness to the dressing. Then, we add pieces of toasted bread for added texture, a little butter, and a mix of tender celery and onion, all held together with chicken broth and eggs. Chop, dump and pop it in the oven where it bakes up wonderfully moist with a slight crunch on top."
