Cinnamon Apple Crisps
"Super easy and oh so healthy – these cinnamon apple crisps are a fantastic snack with no added sugar. They taste so great you still feel like you are indulging in a real treat. These Cinnamon Apple Crisps (or chips for my American friends) are easy to make and taste amazing. You wouldn’t believe there are no more calories in them than just eating an apple! As you can make these with as many apples as you like they are perfect for making just one or two portions – perfect if you are making them just for one. One medium apple makes a pretty perfect portion for one. "

Preparation Time5 min
Cooking Time3 hr
Ingredients
- 1 medium apple – use any variety you like
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 100C / 200F
-
Using a mandolin slice the apple thinly. I found they worked best at 3mm.
-
Place the apples on a baking tray lined with baking powder. Sprinkle with half the cinnamon. Flip and sprinkle with the other half
-
Place in the lower part of the oven, turn after one hour and return to the oven. Bake for another 2 hours and then test. To test remove one crisp from the oven and leave on the side for 4-5 minutes and then check the crispiness. If it’s still soft leave for another 30-60 minutes.
