Chicken noodle soup always tastes better with homemade chicken broth. I have nothing against store-bought products except for the preservatives that don't quite fit well when every other ingredient is natural. this is actually the best time for me to enjoy soups since i am battling a cold during the holidays

This is how I make my chicken and noodles except this has carrots, celery, onion, and apple added. I am not sure about the apple. Would a sweeter or tarter variety be better, do you think? Or does it matter. I have had vegetable soup with an apple in it before. I can't say it really added to it much.

This Amish Chicken Soup recipe looks so wholesome and good. Better than any soup in a can. Homemade is always better. If you have the time to prepare any meal from scratch you know it will be better for you because you can control the ingredients. Three hours simmer means the flavors really get married.

I've had an order for chicken noodle soup from my son. I have never made it. I usually make a beef and vegetable soup. But there is a first time for everything so I am hunting for recipes. This recipe seems pretty easy and looks tasty. I was surprised to see an apple in there. I will definitely try this!

Homemade is always better, no matter what you are preparing. Preparing homemade assures you know that is in the dish. The ingredients for this Amish Chicken Soup is a short list and the addition of a tart apple is a new one on me. I will place this receipe in the rotation for this week.

Wow! I would never think to put an apple in a chicken soup recipe! I love chicken soup but I hardly ever make it. I'm wondering how my family would like this one. I think it would be so yummy with homemade bread to go with it. Does anyone know if this freezes well?

Oh my word, this is an exceptionally good chicken noodle soup! Both our teenager children are currently battling the flu and so, as every good mother should (lol), I searched the internet for a crackingly good chicken noodle soup recipe. They really perked up after lunch and were both asking for more but, sadly for them, I had already eaten the rest. Now they want it for dinner too which is proof of what a great recipe this is!

I am not sure I have ever seen a chicken noodle soup recipe that had apple in it! It is such an interesting twist, that I have to try this. I almost always add cilantro to chicken soup, but I may just hold back to try this recipe exactly as it is first. Has anyone else tried this?
