It may look a little intimidating but don’t worry, I’m going to give you the rundown on everything you need to properly prepare this gorgeous vegetable. How Does Black Salsify Taste? This root vegetable originates from the Mediterranean and has a delicate but delicious sweet flavour. Some Chefs compare it to the slightly sweet taste of oysters or even artichokes.
