Yum. Can dinner look any more delicious that your Swiss steak? I love cooking these meals in my crock pot because they come out so tender that you can separate the meat with a fork when you are done cooking it. The dish goes great with any side from pasta to veggies to potatoes too.

I have been making the same beef casserole for a while now and I am sure everyone is sick of it by now) I recently got a slow cooker as well but have not yet used if! This could be the perfect thing for me to try out and for it not to be a casserole)

A slow cooker can do literally anything. I've never made steak in mine before, but this looks like the perfect recipe!

This is a different twist on Swiss steak. I thought Swiss steak was always tomatoey. I think the recipe looks delicious and I like how tender steak becomes when it's been in the slow cooker all day. Even though my son will pick all mushrooms out of his serving, I will make this to serve with mashed potatoes.

What a great-sounding swiss steak recipe! I've only recently been reunited with swiss steak (my mother used to make it) and have only ever had it with tomatoes so am very interested to try this very tasty sounding recipe which doesnt have tomatoes but uses mushrooms and various other delicious sounding ingredients. Im sure the sweet paprika brings a wonderful flavor to the dish too. As I dont have a slow cooker Ill be cooking it slowly in the oven on a low setting. My tastebuds are already tingling!

I was so excited when I first saw this recipe that I e-mailed it to myself and decided to shop for ingredients tomorrow. But when I looked at the ingredient list I noticed that there is no weight given for the beef. I am not smart enough to know how much the total weight of beef should be, nor do I recall ever seeing a recipe without the weight specified. I look forward to learning from you how much beef to buy. Thank you!!! BEST WISHES, Carol Goodell
