This is such a retro meal for me bringing back many, many childhood memories. A simple, hearty meal with no fancy spices or flavoring. Everything is cooked in the same pot, which is always good, and we all really enjoyed it. Because nowadays we are used to sauces and gravies I made a light mustard sauce to go with it. It is a very nice meal, easy to prepare, and very enjoyable.
