Ingredients
- 4 slices of bread
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- pinch of cinnamon powder
- Butter
- Maple syrup choice of syrup
- Powdered Sugar optional

Make the batter. In a shallow bowl, beat an egg until the egg white is totally combined with the egg yolk. Add the milk, and mix again for 15 seconds. Add the brown sugar, vanilla essence, pinch of cinnamon powder, then mix for 1 to 2 minutes. Set aside.
-
Pan fry the French Toast. Heat up a frying pan under low fire. Add a tablespoon of butter, and let it melt. Cook until it’s light brown. It should only take about 40 seconds to beurre noisette, or brown the butter. Take one slice of bread, and lightly soak each side of the bread on the milk batter. Place it on the hot pan with butter. Cook each side for 2 minutes, or until you reach the desired color of the toast. Cook all slices of bread using the same method. Add butter each time you put a slice of bread in to the pan.

Serve! Once the French Toast are done, place them on a plate, and drizzle some maple syrup, or any syrup of your choice. Using a sifter or sieve, dust some powdered sugar on top of the hot French Toast, and consume immediately for optimal taste.
