Old Fashioned Oatmeal
This Old Fashioned Oatmeal recipe will turn you against "quick cooking" oats forever. This recipe is very easy to follow, and only takes about five minutes to make on the stove top. Be sure to make extras to save for the rest of the week. You'll have a delicious, healthy breakfast every morning, even if you're running late. Add your own flavor and toppings to each batch of oatmeal as well. Apples, bananas, walnuts, and honey all make good additions to a nutritional oatmeal breakfast.

Ingredients
- 3 1/4 cups water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
Instructions

Bring water to a boil.

Add salt and return to boiling.

Add oatmeal and reduce heat to low.

Simmer 3-5 minutes until oatmeal reaches desired consistency.
