Almond Brickle Blond Brownies
Ingredients
- 1 c sugar
- 1/2 c firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c margarine or butter, softened
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1 3/4 c flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 c chopped almonds
- 3/4 c almond brickle baking chips
- 1/4 c chopped almonds
Instructions
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13x9" pan. In large bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar and margarine; blend well. Add flour, baking powder and salt; mix well. Stir in 1/2 c. almonds. Spread in pan. Bake 20-30 min. or until golden brown and set. Remove from oven; sprinkle evenly with topping ingredients. Return to oven; bake an additional 2 min. Cool 1 hour or until completely cooled. Cut into bars. Yield: 36 brownies
