Apple cakes are a particular favorite of mine, and this recipe is a very good version that's sweet, but not overly sweet. I like the addition of the cinnamon glaze but I've discovered a little goes a long way so as not to be overpowering. Like most apple cakes, I like to serve them with a bit of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
