Elizabeth Taylor's Favorite Chili
This is a copycat recipe of chili from Chasen's in West Hollywood, which was a favorite of Elizabeth Taylor. If you're looking for an above-average homemade chili recipe, try Elizabeth Taylor's Favorite Chili. With just the right combination of meat, vegetables and seasonings, this chili is definitely good enough to make over and over. It's been said that Elizabeth Taylor even had this chili flown to her when she traveled. Make it at home and see what all the fuss is about.

Confession time I am not a fan of Elizabeth Taylor BUT, judging from this recipe, she sure had a great taste in chili. My word, it is GOOD! I have long had what I thought was a good chili recipe but that is now in the bin and has been replaced by this one.

My mother's version of chili, was hamburger, chili beans, and tomato juice. I like to make mine with ground turkey or beef, black beans, peppers, onion, and tomatoes. I have never tried it with pinto beans. All different beans give a slight difference in flavor. It calls for pork and beef and I have never seen that either.
