This is one of those regional dishes that I've never had, though the combination of spaghetti and chili doesn't strike me as being all that unusual. In fact, my wife points out that it's something that's a menu item at the Steak 'n Shake burger chain. The cocoa powder is an interesting touch, and I'm wondering if this has any sort of Mexican connection, since I'm familiar with chocolate as an ingredient in that cooking. Serving the beans separately from the chili is also something different to me.
