Healthy Applesauce & Spinach Brownies
"These low-fat Applesauce and Spinach brownies are healthy and weight watchers friendly, at only 4 smart points per brownie. I don’t think I’ve ever met a brownie I didn’t like. But what I don’t like is all the calories, fat and sugar! So I love to find ways to cut those down, without sacrificing taste. And I have totally succeeded with this recipe! I was blown away by how delicious these are! And they are fairly substantial sized brownies too. Being on Weight Watchers does not mean giving up chocolate."

When I first saw the title to these brownies I cringed. Then after reading some of the blog it made a lot more sense to me. I have a very picky 5 year old, who refuses to eat all veggies except potatoes and tomato sauce... that he knows about! I've been sneaking veggies into smoothies, buying fruit and vegetable juice blends, and substituting cauliflower in "macaroni" and cheese for quite some time now, so I can see where you are coming from!

One of my friends tells this horror story of finding spinach in his brownie when he was a kid- he wouldn't eat anything his mom made for weeks after that! So, whenever I see a recipe of spinach in brownies, I am very skeptical! I love the idea of the applesauce but I don't think the spinach is for me!
