I made this pie to go with our traditional Thanksgiving pies. My son always has to have a chocolate pie. This was delicious! Everyone ate some of it, and it was the first pie to go. Luckily, I had made 2, and my son still had his pie to go with leftovers. I didn't change the recipe at all. This is a wonderful light pie if you are having a very heavy meal, like Thanksgiving! I will be making this again.

This Chocolate Afternoon Delight was devoured quite quickly by the lovely ladies at my charity crochet group yesterday! The only change I made was to use fresh cream for the topping. It is a really delicious pie recipe with the cream cheese providing a very nice contrast to the chocolate and preventing it from being too rich.

I have never understood why one who creates a recipe lists the ingredients in random order. Why not list them in the order of the instructions to make? That makes so much more sense. Why list the topping (chocolate chips) first, but use them last ?
