Easy Peasy Chicken Fried Steak

Ingredients
- 2-4 cube steaks
- 1 egg, beaten
- 6 tablespoons flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3 to 5 tablespoons olive oil
- 3/4 cup milk, heated
Instructions
- Dredge steak in 4 tablespoons of flour, then in egg, then in flour again.
- Heat oil in skillet. Once its hot, place steaks in skillet and fry on each side until brown and crisp.
- Remove from pan and reserve oil and drippings.
- While drippings are still hot, stir in a 2 tablespoons of flour and make a good roux.
- Gradually stir in some heated milk with a whisk. Never stop whisking so not to cause lumps.
- Add milk until you get your consistency desired. If too thick, whisk in more milk slowly is too thin whisk in more flour slowly.
- Serve steaks covered in gravy.
- Serve with mashed potatoes.
