What kind of onion do you like in this recipe? I love red onions, but I was thinking that the yellow onion would be the best for this steak. I may add a couple more shakes of red pepper flakes just because my kids love to eat spicy foods. Spicy meat is a favorite item they request because they love eating Asian inspired foods with hot ingredients.

I have made a super easy Swiss Steak in my crock pot by using the standard Mushroom Soup (thinned with Milk) and dry Onion Soup mix. I layer the tenderized meat and Mushroom Soup (sprinkling with the Soup Mix with each layer) and put it on low for the day. When I come home from work, Voila! Dinner!

How much flour?

Thanks for your comment! This recipe calls for 2 tablespoons of flour to coat the steaks. The recipe has been updated accordingly. Happy cooking!
