Bisquick Cinnamon Rolls Recipe
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
-
In a large bowl, Combine Bisquick, buttermilk, and sugar in a bowl using a fork. Mix just until all combined to create a dough.
-
In a medium bowl, Combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon and raisins in a separate bowl. Add 2 tablespoons melted butter and stir to moisten. Set aside.
-
Generously flour rolling surface. It may seem like a lot but this is a sticky dough. Turn dough out onto the surface and start patting into a rectangular shape with your hand. Flour your hand well before doing so.
-
Use a rolling pin to thin dough to about a 1/2-inch thickness. Do not over-roll, the dough will stick.
-
Once rolled out, pour 3/4 cup melted butter over entire surface then spread with a pastry brush to even out and get to the edges.
-
Sprinkle sugar mixture over butter.
-
Start rolling dough from the long end.
-
Slice into 1-inch to 1/2-inch slices.
-
Transfer slices to a well-greased (sprayed) 9 x 13-inch pan.
-
Bake for 25-30 minutes, until just golden brown on tops.
-
Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
-
Combine powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until desired consistency.

My mom made these when we were kids, they were wonderful. When my oldest brother moved out he'd ask her for her special cinnamon rolls. Before she died years ago she made me promise to not tell him her secret, they were Bisquik. I still make them, a 60 year family favorite.

I remember when I first attempted to bake my own cinnamon rolls. I burnt them pretty bad, but the second time I tried it they came out perfectly. Great recipe! definitely will try it next time I do cinnamon roles.

So sweet and delicious! I would have replaced the raisins with nuts to add some texture to this gooey snack, but other than that, these cinnamon rolls were perfect!

I loved the texture of these cinnamon rolls - lighter and fluffier than others I have had. The addition of raisins into the batter makes them extra-tasty!

These were delicious! I think I could have done without the raisins. Were they raisins? There was something in there that had the texture of raisins and felt a little disruptive, but the flavor was outstanding!

I love cinnamon rolls and they smell amazing every time I walk passed them at the mall. These however, seem like they might be a little healthier since you can tweak ingredients a bit. So good!

SO delicious. Easy to make, and the rolls were very soft, just like I like them. I would probably use a few more nuts, though ) I like the texutre

I really love that you use Bisquick in this recipe. I do not like the store bought biscuits. I would much rather make them with a baking mix or from scratch. This idea helps make cinnamon rolls a little quicker than homemade when I don't have the time. Great idea!

I like Bisquick recipes and I know the texture of these rolls will be different than a traditional cinnamon roll. I kind of think of these as a dessert, not necessarily a breakfast roll. It's something my family would have after dinner, or late in the afternoon with a cup of coffee.

I really liked this recipe. I do agree with the comment below that they don't quite have the same texture as a traditional cinnamon roll. Perhaps they would be better dubbed cinnamon "treats" to avoid disappointment. I happen to really like the flavour and texture of Bisquick rolls. They are more like a biscuit, less doughy than a bakery roll. The bonus of these treats is how quick they are to throw together. I have found they are a lovely last minute dessert or snack when unexpected company pops in. Not quite a cinnamon roll, but pretty darn good.

if you are looking for gooey, doughy, traditional cinnamon rolls.. this is not the recipe for you. It's like a buttery biscuit with cinnamon. I had to make carmel sauce to drizzle over it..just to get it to not be so dry. 3 out of 5 stars..just because I didn't know what to expect.
