Notes
Ingredients
- 8 ounces sirloin beef steak
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1/2 pound mushrooms – any kind
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 pound egg noodles or pasta
Instructions
-
Cook noodles or pasta as mentioned on a package.
-
Cover steak pieces with 1 tablespoon of flour. Then take skillet and fry them on high heat with oil until they get color for about 1 minute per side (don’t overcook, I want them medium rare) and then take them out.
-
Then place onion and mushrooms on a skillet and let them caramelize for 5 minutes or until they start to get color. Add the rest of the flour and mix it in well until all the flour is incorporated.
-
Season well with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper.
-
Add milk, lower the heat and let it cook until reduced to half and thickened.
-
Add sour cream and meat, let it warm thru for 1 minute and serve on top of the noodles.
