I know it's 80 degrees outside, but who says you can't enjoy a rich, creamy, comfort food casserole in August. This recipe is one of those "one pot wonders" that I love so much, so I just couldn't resist making it. I served it over buttered egg noodles with crispy Italian bread on the side for an absolutely great weeknight dinner.
