Pork Chop Mozzarella
An Italian-take on pork chops, these flavorful crunchy chops will have your family eating chop after chop. Ingredients
- 1 envelope (about 1 ounce) dry onion soup and recipe mix
- 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 egg or 2 egg whites
- 2 tablespoons water
- 6 boneless pork chops, 3/4-inch thick (about 1 1/2 pounds)
- 1 1/2 cup Prego Traditional Italian Sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (about 4 ounces)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Crush the soup mix in the envelope with a rolling pin. Stir the soup mix, bread crumbs and black pepper on a plate.

Beat the egg and water in a shallow dish with a fork or whisk. Dip the pork in the egg mixture.

Coat with the crumb mixture. Place the pork into a 2-quart shallow baking dish.

Bake at 400 degrees F. for 20 minutes. Pour the sauce over the pork. Sprinkle with the cheese.

Bake for 5 minutes or until the pork is cooked through and the cheese is melted.
