Split Pea Soup, Moroccan Recipe

Notessplit peas are best if soaked for a couple of hours

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup split peas
- 4 cups water
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 garlic cloves
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions

Cook the split peas and garlic in water until tender (around 8 min in the pressure cooker, 45 minutes in a sauce pan, 8-10 hours in a slow cooker)

Pour the mixture in a food processor, add the spices and mix until smooth

Pour the mixture back in the pot, add olive oil and heat for a couple more minutes

Serve hot. decorate with cumin and a drizzle of olive oil.
